The purpose of this chapter is to provide for the uniform assignment of property numbers, to provide for the naming of new streets and renaming of old streets with conflicting or duplicate names in order to provide for efficient emergency services and provide for the safety of the residents of the city, providing for the enforcement of said chapter, and prescribing penalties for the violation thereof.
