A. Permit Fees. At the issuance of a permit, the city engineer shall collect the permit fees set forth in the city consolidated fee schedule as adopted by the city council from time to time. Such fees shall be paid in lawful money of the United States or by collectible draft, check, credit card or debit card. Should such fee payment instrument be uncollectible within 15 days, the permit shall be null and void. The fee for permits applied for after the fact shall be three times the project permit fee in the consolidated fee schedule.

Project permit fees shall be waived for utilities holding a general permit.

B. Inspection Fees.

2. Inspection fees for one inspection are included in the permit fees, except as noted below.

3. If the city engineer determines that more than one inspection is necessary for each project permit issued, the permittee shall be notified and the fee set forth in the consolidated fee schedule shall be collected before the inspection is conducted. Such fees shall be paid in lawful money of the United States or by collectible draft or check. Should such draft or check be uncollectible within 15 days, the permit shall be null and void.

One hour shall include transit time to the inspection site and return. Additional time during the same inspection visit shall be invoiced at the nonprorated fee of $50.00 per one hour.
